THRYVE of Burbank is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Burbank, IL. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients. Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care plans for patients with a variety of respiratory problems, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, and asthma
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and direct patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
Monitor patients' vital signs and respiratory status, and report any changes or concerns to physicians and other healthcare professionals
Perform various respiratory therapies, including intubation, mechanical ventilation, and oxygen therapy
Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation
Requirements:
Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
Current Respiratory Therapy certification (CRT/RRT) and state licensure
1 year of experience in Respiratory Therapy in a SNF setting
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, and to stand for long periods
