Director of Respiratory Therapy

HCA Florida Northwest Hospital, a premier healthcare provider located in Margate, is currently seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Director of Respiratory Therapy. This leadership role is pivotal in managing the respiratory services department, ensuring exceptional patient care whilst adhering to the latest in industry standards and technology. The Director will be responsible for strategizing, developing, and implementing respiratory care services in accordance with the hospital's mission to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Oversee the daily operations of the respiratory therapy department.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for respiratory care.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
Manage departmental staffing, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
Collaborate with medical staff to integrate respiratory care into patient treatment plans.
Monitor and optimize patient care, efficacy of treatments, and facility resources.
Prepare and manage the departmental budget; advocate for resources and equipment.
Stay informed on advancements in respiratory therapy and healthcare technology.
Lead efforts in quality improvement and patient safety within respiratory services.
Proven leadership and organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
In-depth knowledge of respiratory therapy principles and practices
Ability to manage budgets and resources efficiently
Skill in applying medical technologies and equipment
