Job Description
Renewal Rehab, a leading provider of rehabilitation services across the country, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. This role involves working closely with elderly patients in nursing homes, rehab centers, and long-term care facilities to help them achieve maximum functional performance and improve their quality of life through therapy. The ideal candidate will be adept at assessment planning, therapy implementation, and ongoing evaluation of interventions.
Conduct patient assessments to determine their functional status and potential for improvement.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
Implement therapeutic processes designed to relieve pain, restore functions, and prevent disability.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary.
Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and other ways to adapt to daily tasks.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
Maintain patient records and document therapy outcomes.
Stay informed about the latest industry developments and participate in professional training programs.
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in patient assessment and therapy techniques
Ability to design creative solutions to occupational challenges
Capacity to handle emotionally charged situations
Proficient use of therapy equipment
