Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN

HCA Healthcare, a predominant leader in the medical services industry, seeks a dedicated Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN to join our team. This role involves providing expert respiratory care services and support while working as part of a dynamic healthcare team. Our facilities span nearly 2,000 sites of care, including hospitals and surgery centers where the professional will be required to operate advanced respiratory care equipment and aid patients with various needs. This position allows the therapist to engage directly in critical care, emergency medicine, and patient recovery, making a significant impact on patient wellbeing
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages with respiratory illnesses and other cardiopulmonary disorders in a variety of clinical settings.
Operate and maintain various types of respiratory care equipment
Collaborate with a healthcare team including physicians, nurses and other therapists to develop treatment protocols
Monitor and record the progress of patients
Educate patients and their families on lung health and respiratory treatments
Proficient in using ventilators, CPAP machines, and oxygen therapy devices
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to handle stressful situations and make informed clinical decisions
Knowledge of current respiratory care practices and technologies

Active CPR certification
Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist by the state board
