Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to conduct specialized examinations in cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular studies, and electrophysiology studies. The ideal candidate will serve as a lead worker, collaborating with medical and clinical staff to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct specialized examinations in cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular studies, and electrophysiology studies.
• Act as a resource to medical and clinical staff to maximize the utilization of capabilities.
• Collaborate with the intra-procedure team to provide safe patient care and adhere to Universal Protocol.
• Assist with patient identification, preparation, and room setup for routine procedures.
• Communicate with physicians regarding protocols and select appropriate equipment to meet regulatory standards.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment, ensuring preventive maintenance and troubleshooting as required.
• Identify and recommend improvements to work processes and customer satisfaction initiatives.
• Stay updated on advancements in cardiovascular technology through professional development activities.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, and policies impacting cardiovascular technology.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year experience in Special Procedures or Cath/EP cases.
• ARRT or RCIS certification is required.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• State of TX Medical Radiologic License is required.
• Experience in a critical care setting (ICU, ED) or previous Cath/EP Lab experience is preferred.
• Previous travel experience is highly preferred.
