Join the Crew Build Beautiful Small Craft Boats!
Gig Harbor Boat Works is seeking a skilled Boat Builder II to play a hands-on lead role in our small craft production. This position is built for someone who knows the work boatbuilding, shop machinery, and small watercraft and is ready to contribute at a high level from day one.
What Youll Do:
- Lead assembly of small watercraft dinghies, rowboats, and sailboats including batch building parts, installing hardware and trim, rigging and general finish work for custom boats.
- Operate shop machinery and power tools with skill and precision.
- Troubleshoot build challenges and identify opportunities to improve our process.
- Mentor and support Boat Builder I team members on the shop floor.
What Were Looking For:
- Demonstrated experience in boatbuilding, marine manufacturing, or a closely related trade.
- Hands-on proficiency with shop machinery, power tools, and general assembly practices.
- Familiarity with rowboats, sailboats, or other small watercraft construction and sailboat rigging.
- Strong eye for quality, fit, and finish you take pride in the details.
- Ability to work independently and lead within a team environment.
