Title: OR Registered Nurse
Job Department: Operating Room
7am-3pm (with call rotation); 3 OR suites; perform approximately 2800 surgeries annually in the following specialties: General Surgery, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, GYN, Urology, and Pain Management.
Performs perioperative job functions in accordance with established standards and procedures as it applies to patient care assuring that the right jobs and procedures are completed correctly and efficiently according to AORN; JCAHO; and state regulations. Contributes to team efforts and carries out assignments in a responsible manner with attention to quality and safety.
Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Credential Requirements: BLS; ACLS; CNOR Preferred
Education Requirements: ADN; BSN Preferred
Experience Requirements: 2 years’ Operating Room Experience
Shift: AM/PM with Call
Compensation Details (Salary, Sign-on, Relo Asst., etc.): $27- $32 per hour, sign on up to $10,000 based off experience. Paid out- 25-50% first pay check, 25-50% 6 months, remainder 1 year mark.
