Respiratory Care Assistant PRN

HCA Healthcare seeks a dedicated Respiratory Care Assistant PRN to join our diverse team at one of our compassionate care facilities. This role is crucial in supporting respiratory therapists and ensuring patients receive the highest quality respiratory care. Working in a dynamic healthcare setting, the assistant will aid in diagnostics and treatments, contributing to patient assessments and administering respiratory therapy treatments under professional supervision.
Assist respiratory therapists in the setup and operation of equipment such as ventilators, oxygen supplies, and other breathing equipment.
Perform regular checks and maintenance of respiratory therapy equipment.
Prepare and maintain patient records, and update treatments as required.
Assist in performing diagnostic tests and measuring lung capacity.
Educate and explain procedures and treatments to patients and their families.
Strong understanding of respiratory care equipment and procedures
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in stressful situations
Detail-oriented with a focus on patient safety
