Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our progressive inpatient rehabilitation team. We specialize in providing high-quality, tailored healthcare services to assist patients in regaining independence following illnesses or injuries. As a Speech Pathologist at Encompass Health, you will be instrumental in assessing patient needs and delivering personalized treatment plans. Your expertise will aid patients in improving their communication abilities, thereby enhancing their overall quality of life.
Evaluate patients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing skills to diagnose disorders and formulate treatment plans.
Implement targeted therapies tailored to patients' specific needs that facilitate improvements in communication and swallowing functionalities.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient rehabilitation strategies effectively.
Educate patients and their families about coping strategies and home techniques to improve communication abilities.
Maintain comprehensive case histories for each patient, documenting assessments, treatments, and progress updates.
Participate in staff trainings and contribute to ongoing departmental quality improvement efforts.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proven assessment and therapy planning expertise
Knowledge of speech-language pathology theory and best practices
Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
Strong organizational and documentation skills

Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
