Speech Pathologist

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Speech Pathologist at Encompass Health, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess patient needs and deliver effective speech therapy interventions. This role is crucial in helping patients improve their communication abilities and overall quality of life.
Assess patient speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities to identify areas of impairment.
Develop individualized care plans that meet patient needs and align with their rehabilitation goals.
Provide targeted speech therapy interventions based on patient assessments and care plans.
Educate patients and families on speech disorders and communication strategies to cope with cognitive deficits.
Collaborate with rehabilitation teams to integrate speech therapy treatments with other health services.
Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to achieve maximum results.
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to professional standards, policies, and procedures.
Strong understanding of speech-related conditions and treatment options
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to develop and follow through with patient care plans
Competency in using speech therapy technology and equipment
