Speech Pathologist

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. We specialize in providing high-quality inpatient rehabilitation services, tailored to help patients regain their independence following illness or injury. As a Speech Pathologist at Encompass Health, you will play a pivotal role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, voice, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages. Evaluate patient speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical conditions.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other therapy staff to design effective treatment strategies.
Educate patients and family members about communication strategies and coping mechanisms.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient treatments and progress.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and updates.
Strong understanding of speech disorders and treatments
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
Experience with electronic health record systems
Knowledge in the use of diagnostic tools and speech therapy equipment

Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
